Groups:Sharing and learning together enriches the journey of learning and growing.
Life Skills Groups are great for Church home groups or anyone wanting to become more fully who God created them to be. The Life Skills workbook has 94 lessons focused on improving relationships, communication, problem-solving, anger management, boundary-setting, self-esteem, anger-management, and spiritual growth. The answers to the questions in each lesson are completed before they are discussed in groups, followed by a time of sharing, caring, prayer, and connection. Support groups for recovering addicts are a highlight for many in the program. Recovering addicts attending these support groups are expected to be challenged on negative or self-defeating behaviours and take corrective actions to become the best they can be. Recovery is much more than just not taking drugs; it's about living life on life's terms and making progress in all areas of life. Support groups help to break the isolation caused by addiction and substance abuse. Discovering that you are not alone and that many others have overcome similar struggles is encouraging. Living a drug-free life has many challenges. Those in recovery from addiction find a safe place to bring their struggles of the past week and are able to find support to cope with problems and to live life as best as they can. Support groups for the family supporters is one of the most important aspects of our holistic recovery program. In these support groups, you will discover what real practical support is, and how other families came to discover a better way to deal with destructive behaviours associated with prolonged substance abuse. Support groups are aimed at being a safe place to share and to gain the perspectives of others in similar situations. They provide encouragement and information to assist the family to practice self-care whilst supporting the addicted individual to take responsibility for his/her own recovery Join a Mighty Wings Church Recovery Group Near YouWhat's the process?
